Center for Postpartum Adjustment, a private and professional group
of mental health clinicians, was established in 1986 to provide
support for pregnant women or those with postpartum depression.
Our highly trained staff is especially sensitive to the impact PPD
can have on the new mother, father, baby, family unit, and society
as a whole.
The Center’s approach ensures that all aspects of the disorder
– psychological, biological and social – are adequately
considered. Every patient can be certain of an accurate diagnosis
and an appropriate treatment plan. When continuing treatment is
necessary, a personal approach is tailored to the individual needs
of the patient.
- New Mothers
(Pre-natal) - For the couple anticipating the birth or adoption
of a child, the Center provides necessary information and
insight in order to alleviate some of the stress and anxiety
associated with impending parenthood.
- The Center supports, through counseling and education,
that critical first year following the arrival of a child.
- The Center is geared to help those who have not resolved
their past experiences of PPD.
- In addition,
educational seminars and material are available for the general
and professional public in order to generate an awareness and
sensitivity to this disorder.
